HOLON’S VISIONARY

Hi there, I’m Cian Sawyer and Holon is my Big Dream. I began my professional journey by attaining a degree and entering the field of Visual Communications. However, I soon found that this career path did not fulfill my desire to make a difference. An idea that had been lingering in the back of my mind for some time finally took hold – becoming a teacher. Change course to this new passion, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Education and quickly discovered a love for sharing the process of learning. This passion led me to a diverse range of teaching experiences, including pre-school, Sunday school, Doula work, and Lactation consulting. I also gained an even greater appreciation for learner-centered education while educating my own children at home.

As an autodidact, I immersed myself in researching progressive education models from around the world. I have attended several international conferences with education pioneers to develop my own philosophy. Influenced primarily by A.S. Neill's approach, I strive to create a balance between self-directed education and standardized expectations. I am an ardent advocate for educational reform and hope to see elements of progressive models implemented in systematic schooling.

We believe that the right learning environment is key to success. That's why our admissions process focuses on finding the best fit between learners, facilitators, and the group.

Once you've completed your application, you'll be invited to immerse yourself in our community for one to three days so we can assess compatibility.

If we're the right fit for you, we'll ask for payment of registration and material/membership fees to secure your spot. We'll also provide you with a clear schedule of fees and our learning contract so you can feel confident in your decision to join us.

We get it, picking up your child at the same time every day can be a challenge. That's why we offer extended days for students from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. With homework help, engaging clubs, and a comfortable environment, it’s is the perfect option for busy parents and curious minds.
